Your privacy and data protection matters to us
Scantrix ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Scantrix mobile application, a document scanning, PDF management, and conversion tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application.
Scantrix processes documents, images, and files that you choose to scan, import, or convert using the app. Most of this processing occurs locally on your device. However, when you use the PDF-to-Word conversion feature, your PDF file is uploaded to CloudConvert's servers for processing (see Section 4.3).

When you purchase a premium subscription, transaction details are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed by RevenueCat (see Section 4.2). We do not directly access or store your payment card information.

All your documents, scans, and signatures are stored locally on your device in a private app directory. You have complete control over your data and can delete it at any time.
Important exception: When you use the PDF-to-Word conversion feature, the selected PDF file is temporarily uploaded to CloudConvert's servers for conversion. See Section 4.3 for details.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Category lock features use SHA-256 hashing to protect your PIN. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device secured with a password or biometric authentication.
The app creates temporary files and cache during operation for image processing and PDF generation. These files are automatically cleared periodically or when you manually clear the cache from Settings.
Scantrix integrates the following third-party services. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP address, and usage information to serve ads. Premium subscribers are not shown any ads and AdMob is not initialized for their sessions.
You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Google Settings > Ads on Android, or Privacy > Apple Advertising on iOS).

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. When you subscribe, RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt from the App Store or Google Play to verify and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat may collect your device ID and purchase history for this purpose.

The PDF-to-Word conversion feature uses the CloudConvert API. When you use this feature, the selected PDF file is uploaded to CloudConvert's servers, converted to a Word document, and the result is downloaded back to your device. The uploaded file is processed solely for the purpose of conversion and is not retained by CloudConvert beyond their standard processing period per their data retention policy.
This is the only feature where your document content leaves your device. If you do not use PDF-to-Word conversion, no documents are uploaded to any external server.

We use Google ML Kit for on-device OCR (text recognition) and document scanning. ML Kit processes all images entirely on your device and does not send document content to external servers.

Scantrix is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at appmintlabs@gmail.com and we will take prompt action to remove such information.
Your documents and data are retained on your device until you manually delete them. Temporary files and page cache are cleared periodically or when you manually clear cache from Settings.
Files uploaded to CloudConvert for conversion are subject to CloudConvert's own data retention and deletion policy.
Scantrix is available globally. Since most data is stored locally on your device, no data transfers across international borders occur for standard features. However, when using the PDF-to-Word conversion feature, your file may be transferred to CloudConvert's servers, which may be located outside your country. Third-party services such as Google AdMob and RevenueCat may also process data in accordance with their own international data handling policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Updates will be posted within the app with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

All scanned documents and signatures are stored locally on your device. The only time document content leaves your device is when you explicitly use the PDF-to-Word conversion feature, which uploads the selected file to CloudConvert for processing. No documents are accessed, read, or uploaded by us at any other time.
